The general directorate of general security is declaring that a health insurance is mandatory for foreigners residing in Lebanon (5th class) upon applying for an annual residency permit starting 02/01/2017.

Members of the above-mentionned 5th class are the ones related to foreign embassies and international entities in Lebanon, and private domestic workers related to:

-  Owners of diplomatic passports and their families.
-  International Employees of United Nations and the members of their families holding United Nations' passports.
-  The owners of a private and services passports as well as the members of their families.
