A-Tourist Visa Application
Required Documents:
1.    Completed visa application form.
2.    Color copy of a passport valid for at least six months from the date of application.
3.    One passport-size photo (3.5 × 4.5 cm).
4.    Hotel reservation in the applicant’s name, or a detailed residential address with telephone number, accompanied by a letter from the inviting party in Lebanon (proof of Lebanese nationality if Lebanese; copy of valid Lebanese residence permit of at least three months if foreign).
5.    Round-trip airline ticket reservation.
6.    Bank statement for the last three months showing financial capability, or proof of sufficient funds.
7.    Document indicating the applicant’s profession.
8.    For unemployed applicants: documents mentioned in points 6 and 7 for the sponsor.
9.    Residence permit valid for six months if not residing in the country of nationality.
Special Notes:
•    Palestinian travel document holders issued by the Palestinian Authority and Jordanians without a national number residing in the occupied Palestinian territories must submit a recently issued return permit.
•    Holders of Alien Travel Documents (Fremmedpass) must submit a copy of a return visa and a residence permit valid for at least six months.

Visa for Commercial Purposes
•    All documents listed under Tourist Visa (Section A).
•    Official invitation from a Lebanese business partner (name, address, telephone number, commercial registration number).
•    Copy of the Lebanese partner’s commercial registration.

Visa for Family Visits
•    All documents listed under Tourist Visa (Section A).
•    Documents proving family relationship (marriage certificate, birth certificate, civil status documents).

Visa for Medical Treatment
•    All documents listed under Tourist Visa (Section A).
•    Detailed medical report issued by a specialist.
•    Appointment confirmation with the treating physician specifying the required period of stay.

Visa for Training Course
•    All documents listed under Tourist Visa (Section A).
•    Letter from the inviting entity including a copy of the training program and specifying the duration.

Transit Visa
•    Visa or residence permit for the destination country.
•    Airline ticket reservation to the final destination.
Note:
The General Directorate of General Security reserves the right to request additional documents if deemed necessary.

Processing Time for Visa Applications
Visa applications submitted through Lebanese embassies require several administrative procedures (transmission via diplomatic pouch, security, judicial and administrative review, and decision issuance). Therefore, applicants must submit their applications at least one month prior to the intended travel date.
Heads of Lebanese missions abroad may grant entry visas under their own responsibility provided the phrase:
“Under the responsibility of the Head of Mission”
is clearly stated, except for Palestinian refugees, holders of Palestinian Authority passports, or Jordanians without a national number.
